Aviator Airport Alliance has won a major contract from Norwegian to operate flights at Helsinki Airport.

Aviator Airport Alliance, the largest independent ground handling provider in Northern Europe and part of the Avia Solutions Group, has signed a multi-year contract with Norwegian for full ground handling services at Helsinki Airport. Aviator Airport Services Finland, a subsidiary, will perform approximately 4,115 services annually: 56 weekly turnarounds in winter and up to 96 in summer, including passenger check-in, ramp services, and de-icing services.

Ellerman City Liners has acquired Viasea Shipping, strengthening its position in the European short-sea shipping market.

Ellerman City Liners, a GB Global company, announced the acquisition of Norwegian shortsea operator Viasea Shipping from ColliCare Holding AS. Founded in 2016, Viasea has established itself as a flexible and environmentally friendly carrier with scheduled services between the UK, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, and Lithuania, and offices in Moss, Rotterdam, Gdynia, Klaipeda, and Immingham.

The Eurasian Economic Commission and AD Ports Group agreed to develop cooperation in the field of transport and digital logistics.

Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), held a working meeting in Abu Dhabi with Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, where the parties agreed on a cooperation protocol for 2025–2026. The document provides for the exchange of best practices in transport, infrastructure, and logistics digitalization, as well as a joint exploration of opportunities to establish new logistics hubs in EAEU countries.

The Port of Klaipeda increased cargo turnover by 11% and strengthened its leadership in the Baltic region.

Klaipėda Port cargo throughput increased by 11% in the first nine months of the year, reaching 28.7 million tonnes, marking the best September of the year. This growth was driven by containerized cargo (+31%, to 9.6 million tonnes), ro-ro cargo (+6%, almost 5 million tonnes), and a significant increase in LNG and construction materials volumes – both up 23% thanks to the work of FSRU Independence and active road and rail projects in Lithuania.

Turkish ports increased cargo turnover to 456.44 million tons in the first ten months of 2025.

Turkish ports handled 456.44 million tons of cargo from January to October 2025, a 3.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the country’s General Directorate of Maritime Affairs. In October alone, ports handled 46.81 million tons of cargo (up 6.1%), with exports amounting to 11.5 million tons (-6.1%), imports to 23.24 million tons (up 13.7%), and transit to 5.85 million tons (up 2%).

Global logistics operator Rhenus Group is increasing its investment in Southeast Asia, strengthening its position on key international corridors. The growth of cargo traffic in the region, driven by the China+1 strategy and growing demand for flexible and sustainable logistics solutions, is making Southeast Asia one of the world’s leading trade hubs. According to IATA, by September 2025, air freight volumes between Europe and Asia grew by 12.4% year-on-year, while trade between China and ASEAN increased to RMB 3.67 trillion, confirming the shift in global cargo flows toward the region.

Europa Road has launched Europe’s first daily circular freight service between the UK and Portugal.

Europa Road, part of Europa Worldwide Group, announced the launch of Europe’s first daily circular service between the UK and Portugal, strengthening its position in the European logistics market. The new route, created in partnership with the Portuguese company XBS in Porto, provides daily shipments—from LTL to full-truckload—with a focus on speed, reliability, and flexibility. Europa’s transit hub in Dartford already handles over 40,000 shipments per month and supports door-to-door delivery through a network of 42 European hubs.

Baltic Hub has completed the fourth wave of the Busole grant program and announced the winning projects.

Baltic Hub has announced the results of the fourth edition of its Busole grant program, selecting seven initiatives to be implemented in 2025-2026 in the districts surrounding the terminal – Stogi, Przerowka, and Krakowiec-Górki Zachodnie. The program’s total budget is 250,000 zlotys, and the projects aim to develop education, improve health, support environmental initiatives, and strengthen ties within local communities.
