Kazakhstan and Georgia launch new transport hub in Poti port.

Kazakhstan and Georgia are expanding their cooperation in transport and logistics: during a meeting of the prime ministers of the two countries, the launch of a new multimodal terminal of PTC Holding in the port of Poti was announced. This project will become a key element of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), opening up additional opportunities for increasing cargo flow. The new terminal with an area of ​​9 hectares will be able to handle up to 80,000 containers per year, providing transshipment of goods between the universal park and containers.

Militzer & Münch is expanding its operations in Belgium with the opening of a new office in Mouscron on January 27, strengthening trade links between the Benelux region and the Maghreb. Kazakhstan and China have agreed on plans for rail transport for 2025.

A working meeting was held at the border railway stations of Alashankou (PRC) and Dostyk (RK), during which the results of cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in the field of railway transportation for 2024 were summed up. The parties also preliminary agreed on cargo transportation plans for 2025. The delegation of Kazakhstan was headed by the Managing Director for the Production Process of JSC NC KTZ Bauyrzhan Urynbasarov, and the Chinese delegation was headed by the Deputy General Director of Urumqi Railway LLC Hao Xiaoming.

Kazakhstan and China are strengthening economic cooperation.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with the new Chinese Ambassador Han Chunlin, during which they discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral relations. The main topics were trade and economic cooperation, investment, transport and logistics, energy, agro-industrial complex, culture and tourism. Bektenov noted that a trusting dialogue between the leaders of the countries is a key basis for strengthening the partnership.

DHL Freight has opened a new terminal in Berlin.

DHL Freight has officially opened its new logistics terminal in Berlin’s Marienfelde district. The modern 5,200 m2 complex with 48 loading bays replaces the previous terminal, which had reached its capacity limit. Its central location and environmentally friendly technology make the facility an important logistics hub for the region. The opening ceremony was attended by business and political representatives, including DHL Freight executives and project partners.

Realterm acquired a logistics centre in Nijmegen.

Realterm has acquired a last mile logistics centre in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, just 18 km from the German border. The facility comprises 10,000 m² of logistics space and 3,500 m² of office space. It features dual access roads, 16 dock gates and two entrances and exits.

Contargo expands warehouse capacity in Crimmitschau.

Contargo Network Logistics has expanded its capacity in the Crimmitschau Business Park by leasing a second building with around 8,000 m² of warehouse space and 300 m² of social facilities to provide transport, warehouse logistics and added services. This expansion brings Contargo’s total floor area in Crimmitschau to 20,000 m².
