Maersk strengthens network and logistics solutions on key European routes.

Maersk is actively implementing the Gemini Cooperation network on the East-West routes, with full completion expected by June 2025. The new structure is aimed at improving the reliability of sea transportation, improving inventory management and increasing flexibility for customers. Sebastian von Heijn, head of Maersk’s Suez routes, noted that the network will ensure end-to-end supply stability.

Rhenus launches barge services on Indian inland waterways.

International logistics operator Rhenus Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI). As part of the agreement, Rhenus will begin operating barges on India’s key national waterways – the Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers, as well as on the NW-1, NW-2, NW-16 routes and the Indo-Bangladesh Protocol. In the first phase, the company will deploy pushers and 20 barges from Germany, each capable of carrying up to 400 tonnes, with the possibility of combining them to transport up to 1,200 tonnes per trip.

CEVA Logistics expands presence in Singapore with construction of new logistics centre underway.

CEVA Logistics has begun construction of a new multi-purpose warehouse in Jurong Industrial Estate, West Singapore. The facility will form part of the company’s integrated logistics campus, which already includes two fully automated warehouses. The new building will enhance CEVA’s ability to serve customers from various industries and strengthen its logistics network in the region.

DP World opens first logistics facility in Singapore and expands presence in Asia Pacific.

DP World has opened its first logistics facility in Singapore, a 13,000 sq m multi-functional warehouse at Mapletree Benoi. The new hub is an important addition to the company’s infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region, where it already operates similar facilities in Incheon, South Korea and Hong Kong. In total, DP World manages more than 800,000 sq m of warehouse space in the region.

CEVA Logistics strengthens partnership with Magneti Marelli in Italy and Poland – new logistics contracts until 2029.

In Italy, operations continue at the 30,000 m² San Pietro Mosezzo warehouse, handling up to 120,000 shipments annually. CEVA also operates regional warehouses in Milan and Padua, ensuring fast delivery of parts in times of high demand. In Poland, the renewed contract covers the distribution centre in Sosnowiec, serving 27 countries. The warehouse is now entirely dedicated to Magneti Marelli, with a two-storey mezzanine storage system, an automated conveyor belt and a covered area for special materials.

Measures to enhance the competitiveness of the TITR and develop transit in Central Asia were discussed in Bishkek.

At the 13th Regional Meeting of National Trade Facilitation Committees (NTFC) in Bishkek, representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, together with international experts and development partners, discussed ways to improve the competitiveness of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) and promote trade and transit reforms.

Kazlogistics and GIZ discussed the launch of a new EU program for the development of the Trans-Caspian corridor.

In Astana, the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan “Kazlogistics” held a working meeting with representatives of GIZ, Expertise France and the EU delegation to discuss the new EU program for the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor (TCTC). Representatives of JSC NC “KTZ” and KTZ Express also participated in the discussion.
