MCM (Middle Corridor Maritime) will launch regular ferries between Kuryk and Alyat from September 2025.

From September 2025, the Kazakh company MCM (Middle Corridor Maritime) will begin operating regular ferry services on the route Kuryk (Kazakhstan) – Alyat (Azerbaijan) – Kuryk. The new vessels will be managed by the company and will sail under the flag of Kazakhstan for the first time, providing 8-9 services per month. One ferry will be able to transport up to 54 trucks, which will significantly increase cargo flow across the Caspian Sea and create a sustainable logistics channel between the two countries.

DHL Global Forwarding opens new aviation hub in Frankfurt.

DHL Global Forwarding has officially opened its new air terminal in Frankfurt am Main, one of the company’s largest logistics facilities in Europe. The new hub, with an area of ​​24,500 m², is located on a 55,000 m² site in CargoCity Süd and was built by developer Fraport AG. The terminal is equipped with 54 cross-docking gates and is capable of handling up to 300,000 tons of cargo per year. This will allow DHL to consolidate all of its current capacities in Frankfurt in one location, reduce the number of trucks on site and increase the efficiency of its logistics operations.

Ellerman City Liners has launched a Lodz-Gdynia rail service to support the iPEX shortsea service.

Ellerman City Liners has opened a new domestic rail connection between Lodz and Gdynia, enhancing the efficiency and reach of its Polish shortsea service iPEX. The project, implemented in partnership with Spedcont and Bahnoperator, is an important milestone in the development of intermodal transport in Poland and Northern Europe. The new line directly connects the Spedcont terminal in Lodz with the GCT container terminal in Gdynia, providing an end-to-end solution from rail to sea.
