HHLA is creating a new logistics hub in Transcarpathia – the Eurobridge Batiovo terminal.

The German company HHLA, together with the Ukrainian investment company Fortior Capital, is creating a new intermodal terminal HHLA Eurobridge Batiovo in the Zakarpattia region, near the border with the EU. HHLA will receive a controlling stake and will develop the facility through its subsidiary railway company METRANS. The project is currently awaiting approval from the Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee.

COSCO Shipping Europe launches new feeder service between Ukraine and Turkey.

COSCO Shipping Europe has announced the launch of the Black Sea Feeder Service (BFS), a regular sea route that will connect the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk with the Turkish port of Kumport near Istanbul. The new service will provide a stable logistics connection for Ukraine to the global maritime transportation network, including destinations to the Far East.

The EU and Central Asia are discussing the implementation of projects on the Trans-Caspian route within the framework of the Global Gateway.

A thematic session dedicated to the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Route (TITR) was held in Munich as part of the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative. The focus was on turning strategic plans to expand logistics connectivity with Central Asia into real infrastructure and commercial projects.

A new container terminal T3 has opened in Gdansk – the largest port investment in the Baltics.

Baltic Hub has officially launched the T3 terminal at the Port of Gdansk, a key infrastructure project that will enhance Poland’s logistics potential and strengthen its position in the global supply chain. The new terminal covers 36 hectares and will increase the hub’s annual capacity from 3 to 4.5 million TEU by the end of 2025, allowing it to handle the world’s largest container ships thanks to a berth depth of 17.5 meters.

Greece could become a key partner in the restoration of Ukraine’s maritime industry.

The Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine considers Greece as a strategic partner in the restoration of port infrastructure and the development of maritime transport. During the Ukrainian-Greek business forum, Deputy Minister Maryna Denysiuk emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Greek ports of Thessaloniki and Alexandroupolis, which are already actively used as alternative routes for the export of Ukrainian grain in the context of the Black Sea blockade.

ONE will be the first shipping operator to connect to shore power supply in the Port of Hamburg.

During the international trade fair Transport Logistic 2025 in Munich, Ocean Network Express (Europe) Ltd. (ONE) signed an agreement with the city of Hamburg on the future use of shore power supply in the port. The document was signed by ONE Managing Director Takahiro Kikuchi, Hamburg Senator for Economic Affairs Dr. Melanie Leonhard and Chief Commercial Officer of the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) Friedrich Stuhrmann.

Azerbaijan Railways: A number of agreements were signed at Transport Logistic 2025 in Munich.

Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), part of AZCON Holding, took part in the international exhibition Transport Logistic 2025, which was held from June 2 to 5 in Munich. ADY Chairman Rovshan Rustamov held a number of bilateral meetings with the heads of leading transport and logistics companies. During the talks with China Railway Container Transport Corp. President Yang Bin, the development of cooperation within the framework of the “One Belt – One Road” initiative, as well as the strengthening of multimodal transportation and digitalization of cargo tracking on the China-Black Sea route were discussed.
