OOCL unveiled its first NeoPanamax container ship.

Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) held a naming ceremony for its new 16,828 TEU container ship OOCL Bauhinia at the Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (DACKS) shipyard. The ship is the first of ten new-generation vessels ordered by OOCL and marks a new milestone for the company, which has commissioned its first NeoPanamax container ship in a decade.

LTG Cargo has completed its first delivery from Austria.

Lithuanian freight operator LTG Cargo has successfully completed the first rail delivery from Austria to Lithuania. The special cargo was transported along the European gauge from Leoben-Donawitz via Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland. The main part of the route through Poland was organized by the subsidiary LTG Cargo Polska.

65% of global shipbuilding orders come from China.

Over the past decade, China has significantly strengthened its position in the global shipbuilding market. The total order book for shipbuilding by Chinese companies has grown by 170%, and China’s share in global shipbuilding orders has reached 65%. This result is achieved through government support and large-scale investments in the national shipbuilding ecosystem, according to the Intermodal report.

The Polish port of Kolobrzeg will undergo large-scale modernization.

The Kołobrzeg seaport on the Baltic Sea is planning large-scale dredging and widening of the main channel, which will allow it to receive ships up to 130 meters long instead of the current 100 meters. The project includes reconstruction of infrastructure, including 250 meters of the embankment, and updating access to the port channel, which is managed by the Szczecin Maritime Authority.

Eight countries join forces for green port upgrades ADRION.

The ADRIREC – Adriatic Ports for Renewable Energy Communities project, which started on 1 June 2024, aims to transform the ports of the ADRION region into low-carbon energy hubs. With a budget of €1,476 million (85% of which is provided by EU funds), the project brings together partners from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The project will last for three years.

Aviator Airport Alliance expands cooperation with Danish airline Jettime.

Aviator Airport Alliance, a member of Avia Solutions Group and a provider of services at 15 airports in Northern Europe, has signed a three-year contract with Danish airline Jettime. Aviator will now provide ground handling services at Copenhagen Airport (CPH) and Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN), expanding its existing cooperation, which includes Gothenburg Airport (GOT) and Malmö Airport (MMX), as well as de-icing services in Copenhagen.

Tez Customs automates customs operations on the China-Kazakhstan and TMTM routes.

Global DTC, a member of the PSA Group, together with the national logistics operator KTZ Express, launched the Tez Customs digital platform to automate customs clearance of transit cargo. The solution covers the entire process from preliminary preparation of documents to the automatic issuance of transit declarations, reducing the transaction time to 30 minutes from the moment the cargo arrives at the border station.
