HHLA puts the first electric trucks into operation at the Port of Hamburg.

At the beginning of June, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) put the first two electric trucks into operation at its Container-Transport-Dienst GmbH (CTD). These green trucks are part of HHLA’s sustainability strategy to accelerate the decarbonization of supply chains and provide customers with greener transportation solutions.

The company specializes in various transport services, with a particular focus on intermodal solutions such as block trains, individual containers and groups of containers. In addition, they carry out railcar transport, including recent successful projects such as a system train from the Czech Republic to Ukraine for construction materials with return shipment of grain from Ukraine.

Yusen Logistics launches rail service from Vietnam to Europe.

Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd., led by President Hiroyuki Okamoto, has launched a new rail transport service connecting Hanoi, Vietnam to Europe. This service leverages the China-Vietnam freight trains and the China-Europe Railway Express to enhance cross-border transport between ASEAN countries and Europe. Cargo is transported from Hanoi to Chongqing, China, and then forwarded to Europe, with the logistics company managing all aspects of the shipment, including collection, customs clearance, and final delivery. Notably, Yusen Logistics operates a significant logistics center in Duisburg, Germany, facilitating efficient distribution across Europe.
