KTZ and PSA signed a memorandum in Singapore.

The signing of a memorandum on the development of the country between JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, PSA, KPMC Ltd and G-trans Service became a key event during the state visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Singapore. A document on the settlement of a strategic partnership between KTZ and the PSA, focused on the development of the transport and transit potential of Kazakhstan, aimed at the joint venture KPMC Ltd for the development of the trans-Caspian route.

China-Europe: Test transit through the Port of Kuryk.

The Kazakh-Chinese joint commission on road transportation held a meeting in Aktau, during which new directions of cargo transportation were discussed. For the first time, transit road transportation of goods is carried out along the China-Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan-Georgia route through the ports of Kuryk and Baku. Three Chinese trucks, each weighing 80 tons, departed Urumqi, passed through the transit route and were loaded onto a ferry at the port of Kurik to continue their journey.

Port of Riga: A container repair service has been developed.

Amid shifting cargo dynamics catalyzed by the conflict in Ukraine, the Port of Riga witnesses a notable transformation in its cargo landscape. As energy transit cargo dwindles, containers emerge as the primary cargo group, driving a surge in container-related services. Notably, SIA “Rīgas Centrālais Termināls” (RCT), a subsidiary of JSC “Riga Port” group, stands out for its concerted efforts in developing the container repair segment within the port.

Updated route Baku – Tbilisi – Kars.

The first train with 20 containers passed through the reconstructed section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, departing from the Absheron Logistics Center to Baku on May 20, 2024. Completion of the reconstruction of the 183 km Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi section in early May 2024 included the construction of a 110-hectare logistics complex in the Akhalkalaki region, Georgia.

MTTF24: Duisburg Port as a European hub for cargo from Asia.

Klemens Materi, Project Manager for Corporate Development and Strategy at Duisburger Hafen, said that the history of the port in Duisburg dates back to 1816, and the company itself was registered as a joint stock company in 1926. In 2001, the “duisport” trademark was approved, under which the company became known throughout the world. Ownership of the port is divided between North Rhine-Westphalia and the city of Duisburg.

Rail Cargo Group expands presence in Serbia: joint venture with Transfera d.o.o.

Teaming up with Transfera d.o.o., Serbia’s second-largest forwarding company, RCG now holds 51% of the shares. KTZ Express: expanding transport cooperation in the Baltic countries.

From May 14 to 18 of this year, the delegation of KTZ Express JSC took part in the working trip of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.K. Karabaev. to the Baltic countries – Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. During the trip, a bilateral meeting was organized with the Minister of Transport of Latvia K. Brishkens, as well as an acquaintance with the activities of the Freeport of Riga and the construction work of “Rail Baltica”.
