In November 2024, DACHSER & FERCAM Italia opened a new logistics center in Arezzo, strengthening its freight network in the Italian region of Tuscany. This step will allow export-oriented customers from the industrial and commercial sectors to benefit from a direct connection to the European DACHSER network.

Duvenbeck acquired Sander Logistics Group.

Transport and logistics company Duvenbeck has announced the acquisition of Sander Logistics Group, adding Sander branches in Hamburg, Itzehoe, Rostock, Halle and Moosburg to its portfolio. With almost a century of experience in the industry, Sander will bring valuable local expertise to the Duvenbeck network and strengthen its market position.

The first hydrogen truck was tested in Slovakia.

Together with the technology company Mobility & Innovation Production (MIP), testing of the first hydrogen truck in Slovakia has begun. This step is part of HHLA’s strategy to create climate-neutral transport and is aimed at achieving environmentally friendly container transportation for customers.

DACHSER to open a new warehouse and cross dock in the Netherlands in 2025.

DACHSER has signed a lease for a new warehouse and cross-dock for food logistics in Waddinxwijn, near Rotterdam. The new facility, which will begin operations in the third quarter of 2025, will cover 16,330 square metres, including office space, and will create around 50 new jobs. The warehouse will feature three temperature zones – dry, refrigerated and frozen – as well as 45 loading and unloading gates on three sides of the building to improve operational efficiency.

DACHSER opens new LCL logistics hub near Rotterdam.

DACHSER has opened a new container freight terminal (CFS) in Waddinquain near Rotterdam, creating a central hub for LCL export shipments. The company consolidates groupage shipments from customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, as well as parts of Austria and Eastern Europe, in its own logistics center in Waddinquain and ships them via the Port of Rotterdam.

DACHSER implements technologies to reduce emissions and save fuel.

DACHSER plans to equip 200 of its vehicles in Germany with state-of-the-art SCALAR devices from ZF Friedrichshafen by the end of 2024. These devices help drivers to optimize their driving style, reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. As part of the climate strategy, DACHSER and its trainers train its own drivers and those of its partners in fuel-efficient driving, which helps to reduce diesel consumption by four liters per 100 km and reduce emissions by an average of 12%.

DACHSER to build a new logistics centre.

Logistics operator DACHSER will open a new hub for the transport and storage of industrial and consumer goods in Ingolstadt, Germany, in June 2025. Around 90 new jobs will be created as a result. On 14 October, a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony was held, during which two facilities were presented: a 6,500 m² terminal with 76 loading gates and a 6,770 m² warehouse with space for 17,000 pallets.
