DACHSER implements technologies to reduce emissions and save fuel.

DACHSER plans to equip 200 of its vehicles in Germany with state-of-the-art SCALAR devices from ZF Friedrichshafen by the end of 2024. These devices help drivers to optimize their driving style, reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. As part of the climate strategy, DACHSER and its trainers train its own drivers and those of its partners in fuel-efficient driving, which helps to reduce diesel consumption by four liters per 100 km and reduce emissions by an average of 12%.

DACHSER to build a new logistics centre.

Logistics operator DACHSER will open a new hub for the transport and storage of industrial and consumer goods in Ingolstadt, Germany, in June 2025. Around 90 new jobs will be created as a result. On 14 October, a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony was held, during which two facilities were presented: a 6,500 m² terminal with 76 loading gates and a 6,770 m² warehouse with space for 17,000 pallets.

cargo-partner launches testing of electric trucks in Slovenia.

cargo-partner, part of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., is expanding its electric truck testing program in Europe. Following successful pilot projects in Austria and Slovakia, the initiative will also cover Slovenia from June 2024. The electric truck testing program is part of the company’s sustainability strategy “ROAD (Reducing Our Atmospheric Dependencies)”.

DACHSER is building a new warehouse in Leipzig-Hall.

DACHSER, a leading logistics service provider, is expanding its capabilities in the Leipzig-Halle region with a new warehouse. The new facility, designed for 25,000 pallet spaces, will become operational in early 2025. This multifunctional warehouse, currently under construction, is located in the Landsberg industrial park, next to the DACHSER Logistics Center Leipzig/Halle.

Schavemaker presents the first electric tractor SCANIA in Poland.

Schavemaker’s fleet in Poland has officially welcomed its first SCANIA electric tractor unit, marking a significant milestone. This SCANIA 45R model, powered by 450 KW from three electric motors, represents the first zero-emission Scania tractor introduced in the country. The electric vehicle will transport containers between customer loading locations in Kalisz and Leszno and the Schavemaker railway terminal in Kąty Wrocławskie.

Milence opens the largest charging center in Antwerp and Bruges.

Milence, a joint venture between Daimler Truck, TRATON GROUP and Volvo Group, has launched its largest charging hub to date at the port of Antwerp-Bruges. Strategically located at the Ketenis truck yard, the hub takes advantage of the port’s central location, extensive connections and excellent infrastructure, strengthening its role in the international transport network. This marks an important milestone for Milence as it is their first hub in Belgium and the largest in Europe, equipped with ten Combined Charging System (CCS) chargers delivering up to 400 kW of power per each of the twenty bays.

DACHSER expands its warehouse capacity in France.

DACHSER is expanding its warehouse capacity in France with new facilities in Roissy and Nîmes. In Roissy, on the outskirts of Paris, 20,000 square meters of warehouse space were created. A 12,000 square meter warehouse has opened in Nîmes, in the Occitanie region of southern France.
