CEVA Logistics has stepped up the development and implementation of alternative solutions to ensure supply chain resilience amid the escalating situation in the Middle East. The operator is using backup routes through regional hubs in the Persian Gulf, including the seaports of Jeddah, Khor Fakkan, and Salalah, as well as air hubs in Jeddah and Riyadh. Additionally, multimodal solutions involving road transport and alternative routes through Turkey are being implemented, maintaining cargo flows between Europe and the GCC countries.

Since late February, CEVA Logistics has been in constant communication with its shipping partners, monitoring the status of ongoing shipments and promptly adjusting logistics. The company is actively rerouting cargo through alternative hubs, sea-air solutions, and land and rail routes. Airspace restrictions and the suspension of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz have reduced available capacity, increased tariffs, and extended delivery times. Under these conditions, the operator is increasing available capacity on alternative routes and developing combined transportation schemes.

Despite ongoing disruptions and delays at borders, CEVA Logistics continues to provide deliveries to all Gulf countries using its own trucking infrastructure and flexible capacity management. The company’s operations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia are operating as normal, with additional control measures and backup plans in place. Customers are advised to plan deliveries in advance, account for extended delivery times, and check current shipping conditions before booking.
