A comprehensive plan for the development of maritime infrastructure has been adopted for 2024-2028. It provides for the creation of a large maritime transport and logistics cluster based on the ports of Aktau and Kuryk. This will increase container capacity, develop cargo transshipment terminals and improve international logistics, while reducing administrative barriers. This year, work will begin on dredging the waters of the port of Kuryk and the construction of a container hub in the port of Aktau.

Administration of the seaports of Szczecin and Świnujście S.A. signed an agreement on co-financing the project “Construction of a multimodal railway transshipment hub on the Ostrow Grabowski Peninsula in the Port of Szczecin” (MULTIRAILHUB). The project received funding under the CEF Transport competition: Adaptation of the TEN-T network for dual civil and defense use. The total cost of the project is 8.7 million euros, of which 4.3 million euros will be covered by the grant. The start of the project is scheduled for June 2024, completion is planned for November 2026.
