Two new multimodal routes have been launched in Poland, strengthening the country’s connectivity with seaports on the Adriatic and North Seas. The Polish logistics company Miratrans has established a shuttle train service connecting a terminal in Krzew (Łódź Voivodeship) with the Port of Rotterdam. The route facilitates the transport of containers and semi-trailers up to 4 meters in height, utilizing two pairs of trains per week; this initiative reinforces the northern freight corridor between Poland and the Netherlands.

At the offices of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, the parties cemented a new phase of their partnership across the fields of port infrastructure development, logistics, industrial projects, and digital solutions. This signing marked the tangible outcome of negotiations initiated last autumn during the visit of Latvia’s Minister of Economics, Viktors Valainis, to the UAE. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both sides, executives from port companies, and officials from the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates.

Ukrzaliznytsia, in collaboration with UZ Cargo Poland and the “Liski” branch of the CTS, has established a regular freight service between Romania and Ukraine. As part of this new service, a comprehensive shipment of oversized cargo – specifically rolled steel sheets – has already been successfully completed, traveling directly from the Port of Constanța to the Perechyn station.

Port of Tallinn has announced the availability of a 20-hectare site situated directly alongside the quays of Muuga Harbour – Estonia’s largest cargo port. This site offers companies the opportunity to establish or expand manufacturing, logistics, and value-added projects, providing direct access to deep-water quays, multimodal transport connections, and a comprehensive range of port services.
