The customer is a client from Kazakhstan, now living in the USA, who purchases equipment for further resale on the Kazakhstan market. CF&S undertakes the full cycle of transportation – from the American warehouse to the final destination in Central Asia.
According to the results of January-May 2025, the volume of freight transportation on the Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) network reached 107 million tons, which is 4.4% more than the same period last year. Domestic transportation amounted to 68.7 million tons, exports grew by 11.4% – to 38 million tons.
Leasing company Alpha Trains and operator VIAS Rail GmbH (part of the RATH Group) have signed a contract for the lease of 14 five-car Stadler FLIRT1 electric multiple units, which will start running on the Emscher Express (ENE) routes in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia from December 2026. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has revised its forecast for global economic growth: in 2025 and 2026, it will amount to 2.9% instead of the previously expected 3.0%. Lithuanian business and corporate aviation specialist KlasJet, part of the world’s largest ACMI provider Avia Solutions Group, has signed an agreement with Egyptian carrier Air Cairo to operate charter flights in the summer of 2025. From May 30 to October 31, KlasJet will operate flights on the Milan-Cairo and Sharjah-Cairo routes, transporting tourists to one of the most popular holiday destinations in Egypt.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting dedicated to the implementation of key investment projects in the transport sector. According to the Ministry of Transport, in 2025, reconstruction will cover 13 thousand kilometers of roads and 6.1 thousand kilometers of railways. In January-May 2025, 22.2 million tons of cargo were transported by rail to Ukrainian seaports. This was reported by Valeriy Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, during the Ukrainian Transport Forum in Odessa. All currently operating ports are located in the Odessa region – these are the ports of “Greater Odessa” and the Danube harbors.
