Rail Baltic Estonia has announced the largest tender for the construction of the Rail Baltica main line, valued at up to €932 million. This project is strategically important for the European railway network, improving connections between the Baltic States, Finland and Central Europe. Rail Baltica will be a key element of the north-south transport corridor, promoting economic integration and increasing mobility.

The construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is scheduled to begin in October 2024. This important project will be implemented through the joint efforts of the three countries, and a key step was the establishment of a joint venture on September 28, 2024, in Bishkek. The Chinese side received a controlling stake of 51%, while Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan divided the remaining 49%.

In 2024, Girteka aims to increase the volume of goods transported by rail, covering the main European markets, by offering an expanded service.

A meeting was held in Baku between the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Railways Rovshan Rustamov and the Deputy Director General of the state-owned National Company Kyrgyz Railways Dastan Usubakunov. The talks were held within the framework of a consultative meeting of the heads of railway administrations on the establishment of the International Association “Eurasian Transport Route”.

The construction of the main line of the Rail Baltica high-speed railway in Jonava, Lithuania, is progressing well. Recently, 13.7 km of access roads with a drainage system were completed. Last year, another 18.3 km were built, creating a single road junction on both sides of the railway track under construction.
