Construction of the innovative multimodal transport terminal “Fishka Nov” has begun in the Chernivtsi region. The main functionality of the terminal is to carry out transshipments with the possibility of simultaneous servicing of freight cars from different tracks: Ukrainian (1520 mm) and European (1435 mm). Additionally, the terminal allows you to efficiently move cargo between vehicles and wagons.
In a groundbreaking initiative, METRANS addresses the overlooked issue of gas composition within shipping containers. Typically, containers are only utilized at 65%, leaving 35% filled with air, including various gases, some potentially harmful. Concerned about the health and safety of logistics workers, METRANS initiated a pilot project in 2019 at its Dunajská Streda terminal to measure gas concentrations within containers without the need to open them.

In a groundbreaking operation at the Rhenus Deep Sea Terminal in Rotterdam, Rhenus Port Logistics Netherlands successfully managed the handling, storage, and transportation of oversized plant components destined for the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for their client, Neste. In January 2024, the volume of cargo transportation by rail between Kazakhstan and China increased by 22%, reaching 2.4 million tons, compared to the same period last year. Exports of goods to China also increased markedly, exceeding 2023 figures by 43%, including an increase in transportation of iron ore (by 19%), grain (by 37%), ferrous metals (by 2 times) and non-ferrous metals (by 2.2 times). ). The Port of Gdynia’s dock bay construction progresses on schedule, driven by the deployment of Europe’s second-largest pile-driving machine. Part of a broader initiative, the project involves relocating a floating dock and is funded by the Port of Gdynia Authority through EU funds secured in 2018. This endeavor, a crucial component of the Deepening of the approach fairway and internal waters of the Port of Gdynia project, aims to enhance port infrastructure, enabling the berthing of larger container and bulk ships with dimensions of up to 400 meters in length, 58 meters in width, and a maximum draft of 14.7 meters. The comprehensive project, led by the NDI S.A. and NDI SOPOT S.A. consortium, is on track for completion in the first quarter of 2025, incorporating modern equipment and a gross contract value exceeding 82 million zloty.
