ADY Express, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways, launched an express container block train service on the Azerbaijan-Georgia route. The first train under the new service was successfully dispatched on January 30 in accordance with a bilateral agreement signed between Azerbaijan Railways and Georgian Railways. The launch of the service is viewed by both parties as a new stage in the development of regional transport and logistics cooperation.

Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), held working meetings with the management of PACE Group, Georgia’s leading logistics company responsible for terminal operations at the Port of Poti, as well as with the management of the Batumi Seaport. The parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation between the railway and port structures of the two countries.

On January 30, the Poti-Baku Express Block Train ceremony was held at the port of Poti, Georgia, with the participation of the management of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Georgian Railways JSC. The new service marks another step in the development of rail service between the Black Sea and Azerbaijan and the strengthening of regional logistics links.

On January 29, in Tbilisi, Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), a subsidiary of AZCON Holding, met with Lasha Abashidze, Director General of Georgian Railways JSC, and Tamara Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in rail transport.

On January 29, in Tbilisi, BTKI Railways LLC, a joint venture between Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) and Marabda-Kartsakhi Railway LLC, signed a package of agreements with Georgian Railways JSC aimed at fully operationalizing the joint management of transportation on the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars (BTK) railway line.

Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), part of the AZCON holding, and Turkish State Railways (TCDD) signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing bilateral cooperation in the railway sector. The document was signed by ADY Chairman Rovshan Rustamov and TCDD CEO and Chairman of the Board Veysi Kurt.

The Zykh Ship Repair and Shipbuilding Yard, a subsidiary of ASCO and AZCON Holding, completed repairs on 26 vessels of various types in 2025. As part of the production program, eight vessels underwent major repairs, 16 units underwent dock repairs, and two more underwent routine repairs.

Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), part of AZCON Holding, met with a World Bank delegation led by Charles Cormier, Director of Infrastructure for the Europe and Central Asia Region. The parties reviewed the current state of cooperation between ADY and the World Bank and confirmed their mutual interest in expanding the partnership.

Turkey supports intensifying efforts to further develop the international Trans-Caspian Transport Route and considers it a key area of ​​Eurasian logistics. This was stated by Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok, who emphasized that this corridor has already proven its reliability, safety, and practical applicability in the changing global logistics environment.

A working meeting was held in Astana between Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KTZ, and Armen Gevondyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in transport and logistics, as well as opportunities for expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia.
