At a government meeting, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov noted the positive dynamics in the transport sector, emphasizing the need for further systematic expansion of rail network capacity. He stated that the key objective remains the implementation of major strategic projects aimed at modernizing infrastructure.
The Prime Minister stated that the construction and modernization of all approved transport sector projects must be completed by the end of the year. He also stated that special attention should be paid to the development of international transport corridors and port infrastructure.
In particular, Bektenov noted the rapid development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and emphasized the need for accelerated modernization of the ports of Aktau and Kuryk. He also outlined the road sector’s objectives for implementing strategic projects aimed at strengthening regional transport connectivity.
