On May 22, 2026, a roundtable discussion was held in Almaty at ALT University (named after M. Tynyshpayev), dedicated to the integration of science, education, business, and production logistics with the aim of establishing a unified digital transport and logistics system for Kazakhstan. The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, transport and logistics companies, the scientific and educational community, as well as industry experts. The Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan – KAZLOGISTICS – was represented at the meeting by its Director General, Kanat Almagambetov.
The roundtable was organized jointly by the Central Asian Logistics and Transport Association (CALTA) and ALT University. During the plenary and panel sessions, participants discussed key directions for the development of the country’s transport and logistics complex, including industry digitalization, the expansion of multimodal transport, the implementation of ESG approaches, the integration of science and business, and the training of a new generation of specialists. Particular attention was paid to the creation of a modern freight flow management model and the development of a unified digital architecture for Kazakhstan’s transport system.
KAZLOGISTICS’ participation underscored the importance of consolidating the efforts of the state, the business sector, and educational institutions to implement practical initiatives within the transport sphere. The Union highlighted the need for the further development of digital solutions, enhancing the competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s transport and logistics complex, and strengthening international transport corridors. Following the event, the parties discussed prospects for joint projects and pilot initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and driving the digital transformation of the industry.
