KTZ and Vietnam Railways have agreed to increase freight transportation.

Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KTZ, met with Ho Ang Gia Khanh, CEO of Vietnam Railways. During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the railway sector and increasing freight traffic volumes between the two countries.

A prime example of the already established cooperation was the 2025 results: Kazakhstan exported over 15,000 tons of wheat to Vietnam. The grain was shipped from the Azat, Akkol, and Kokshetau stations in the Akmola region through the Dostyk and Altynkol border crossings and delivered to the port of Hai Phong. Currently, Kazakh products are delivered to Vietnam via sustainable multimodal routes through China, including a rail-sea route through the port of Lianyungang with access to Hai Phong.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to increase transportation volumes, create favorable conditions for shippers, and consistently strengthen transport and logistics cooperation between Kazakhstan and Vietnam.
