On March 3, Silkway CA, a joint venture of the international PTC Holding group, signed an EPC contract in Tashkent with China Railway Construction Engineering Group for the construction of the first phase of a multi-functional modern logistics center. The project will be one of the largest private infrastructure projects in Central Asia and is aimed at developing regional logistics infrastructure.
The future logistics center will be built on a 159.4-hectare site. Investment in the first phase of the project will exceed USD 84 million. Completion of the first phase of construction is scheduled for 2027.
The creation of the multi-functional modern logistics center is intended to strengthen the region’s role in the Eurasian transport corridor system. The project is seen as an important element in the formation of a new logistics architecture linking China, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Europe, and continues PTC Holding’s international strategy of infrastructure development, from Dostyk TransTerminal to Poti Trans Terminal.
