Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “NC ‘KTZ’,” held talks with Merle Kurvits, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Estonian Railways,” to discuss expanding cooperation in international freight transportation. Key topics included the development of transport links between Central Asia and Europe, the modernization of railway infrastructure, the creation of new logistics services, and the implementation of joint projects within the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of the railway sector. Representatives from KTZ and Estonian Railways exchanged experience regarding infrastructure monitoring and maintenance, reviewed modern track diagnostic methods, and discussed the implementation of digital solutions aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the transportation process.
Furthermore, the parties examined prospects for developing multimodal transport and attracting additional freight volumes. The discussions covered cooperation with Estonian seaports and measures to increase transport volumes along the Kazakhstan–Baltic States–Europe route. Following the meeting, the railway administrations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their long-term partnership and jointly developing transport and logistics projects.
