KTLF24: Current status and prospects for the development of the TITR route

Gaidar Abdikerimov, Secretary General of the International TMTM Association, presented the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route association at the last Kazakhstan Transport and Logistics Forum. It started with the idea of ​​creation back in 2013, and in 2017 it became an official legal entity with headquarters in the city of Astana, and since then significant changes have occurred. Having started with seven companies from three countries – Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia; the association currently unites 11 countries and 25 companies operating in the transport, logistics, port and shipping sectors.

Kazakhstan offers Armenia a transport route through Iran

Kazakhstan offers Armenia to use the transport corridor through Iran to deliver goods to Central Asia and China. According to the director of the Astana Diplomatic Club, Kaiyrbolat Sakhmetov, Armenian carriers are recommended to more actively use the Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan route. Goods from Armenia can be transported through Iran to a land port on the border with Turkmenistan, from where trains will depart in the direction of Kazakhstan, Central Asian countries and China.

AD Ports Group is expanding through the acquisition of Tbilisi Dry Port

AD Ports Group, a leading port and logistics operator from Abu Dhabi, has entered into an agreement with Inveco LLC to acquire 60% of the shares of Tbilisi Dry Port – a new intermodal logistics center in Georgia with customs warehouses and access to the regional railway network. The TDP project, currently owned by Inveco and Wilhelmsen, is planned to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2024.
