In the first quarter of 2025, the Port of Rotterdam recorded a 6.9% increase in liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering volumes compared to the same period last year, reaching 230 thousand cubic meters. This indicates an active expansion of the global fleet of vessels powered by gas motor fuel.

State-owned Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), part of AZCON Holding, has signed a contract with Chinese manufacturer CRRC Ziyang Co., Ltd for the supply of seven AC50 mainline diesel locomotives and spare parts for a total of $26 million. One of the world’s largest sea container carriers, the Danish company Maersk, has introduced a new corporate design for its containers. Instead of the traditional gray color used since 1973, the new containers will now be painted bright blue.

China Henan Aviation Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudia Cargo to establish a strategic air cargo corridor linking the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. The new agreement builds on China Henan’s experience in establishing a cargo hub in Zhengzhou, making it and Riyadh twin logistics hubs.
