Azerbaijan Railways presented plans for decarbonization.

Anaklia Port in Georgia to receive first ship by 2029.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has announced that the country’s first deep-sea port in Anaklia will receive its first vessel by 2029, possibly even earlier. Construction work has already begun, and the official opening ceremony took place on October 22. In the first stage, the Belgian company Jan De Nul will deepen the seabed to create conditions for receiving large-tonnage vessels.

FL Technics strengthens its position in the global aviation maintenance market.

FL Technics, part of the Avia Solutions Group, is actively strengthening its position in the global aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) market. This year, the company expects to reach a turnover of almost 400 million euros, five times the 2013 figure. By 2030, FL Technics plans to increase its turnover to 1 billion euros, which will allow the company to become one of the leaders in the MRO industry.

Kazakhstan is increasing its grain export potential.

Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev said at a government meeting that the country’s export potential for grain crops is 12 million tons, including 7-7.5 million tons of wheat, 1.4 million tons of barley, 1 million tons of oilseeds and 300 thousand tons of corn. The main growth in exports was to China, where Kazakhstan supplied 538.8 thousand tons of wheat this year, which is almost 15 times more than last year.

Клайпедский порт получил разрешение на строительство нового южного комплекса.

Клайпедский порт приступает к реализации одного из крупнейших проектов в своей истории — строительству комплекса площадью 100 гектаров на южной территории порта. Разрешение на строительство уже получено. Этот проект включает в себя создание современной яхтенной пристани, детской парусной школы и инфраструктуры для отдыха на воде, что станет важным шагом на пути развития порта и культурных традиций Литвы, пояснил генеральный директор Дирекции порта Альгис Латакас.

The Port of Constanta will implement an advanced interaction system for port participants.

A consortium led by the Romanian IT company Critical Technologies SRL and the German HPC Hamburg Port Consulting, together with the Estonian partners EN Shipping OÜ and Saaresalu OÜ, has completed the development of the specification for the Port Community System for the Port of Constanta. The goal of the project is to improve communication and increase the efficiency of the port through the implementation of an advanced digital system.

Компания DACHSER планирует оснастить 200 своих автомобилей в Германии передовыми системами SCALAR от ZF Friedrichshafen к концу 2024 года. Эти устройства помогают водителям оптимизировать стиль вождения, снижая расход топлива и выбросы CO₂. В рамках климатической стратегии компания DACHSER и её инструкторы обучают водителей как своих, так и партнёрских компаний экономичному вождению, что позволяет снизить расход дизельного топлива на четыре литра на 100 км и уменьшить выбросы в среднем на 12%.

Kazakhstan and China discussed prospects for border rail transport.

The XXXIII meeting of the Joint Commissions of Border Railways of Kazakhstan and China was held in Urumqi (PRC). The participants summed up the work of railway crossings between the two countries for the first nine months of 2024 and discussed transportation plans until the end of the year. Preliminary volumes of freight traffic for 2025 and the freight train schedule for 2024-2025 were also agreed upon.
