NX Group invests in AGRIST to develop modern technologies in the field of agriculture.

Nippon Express Holdings (NX Group) has entered into an investment and business cooperation agreement with AGRIST Inc., a startup developing AI and robotic smart farming technologies. The collaboration aims to address agricultural challenges related to labor shortages and an aging farmer population in Japan, where the average age of farmers is 68. AGRIST creates robotic harvesting systems and software to improve agricultural efficiency and improve global food security.

Hamburg and Singapore signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen cooperation in the areas of digitalization, decarbonization and cybersecurity. Kazakhstan is considering increasing grain and flour exports.

The increase in grain exports was discussed at a meeting of the government of Kazakhstan. Managing Director of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Bauyrzhan Urynbasarov reported that 6.6 million tons of grain were shipped in the first nine months of 2024, which is 21% less than in the same period last year. At the same time, the export of flour and other milled products amounted to 2.7 million tons, an increase of 21%.

The first Rail Baltica Information Centre has opened in Kaunas.

The first Rail Baltica Information Centre has opened at the Kaunas railway station in Lithuania. The centre will provide up-to-date information on the project, which is set to radically change rail transportation in the Baltic region. With the launch of the high-speed line, Kaunas railway station will be able to serve around 11,000 passengers daily, which will exceed the figures for the capital, Vilnius.
