At the Hamburg Sustainable Development Conference (HSC), representatives of various ports, international shipping companies, green fuel producers, shipbuilders and logistics companies signed a declaration on the decarbonization of global shipping. The signatories included CMA CGM Germany, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), MSC, Hapag-Lloyd, the ports of Los Angeles, Tanger, Antwerp, Barcelona and others.
The construction of the new 17.1-kilometer section of the Rail Baltica railway project continues in Lithuania. LTG Infra has signed a contract with the Czech Eurovia CZ and its Lithuanian partner Eurovia Lietuva for the work worth almost 98 million euros. This stage includes the construction of an embankment, engineering structures and local roads on the Šeta-Ramygala section.
The new Duisburg Gateway Terminal (DGT) has been officially opened in the Port of Duisburg, which will be the largest inland container terminal in Europe. Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Rovshan Rustamov took part in discussions at the Climate Action Week in Baku, where he spoke about the steps being taken to combat climate change. He noted that by 2050, the company plans to reduce carbon emissions by 40%, actively expanding the use of renewable energy sources such as solar panels. Last year, Azerbaijan Railways already reduced emissions by 9%.
A delegation of leading Dutch companies visited Port Kuryk LLP as part of the trade mission “Port Development and Logistics” organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan and the Netherlands Agency for Enterprise. The visit was aimed at familiarizing themselves with the port of Kuryk, which is an important part of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

Nippon Express Holdings (NX Group) has entered into an investment and business cooperation agreement with AGRIST Inc., a startup developing AI and robotic smart farming technologies. The collaboration aims to address agricultural challenges related to labor shortages and an aging farmer population in Japan, where the average age of farmers is 68. AGRIST creates robotic harvesting systems and software to improve agricultural efficiency and improve global food security.
The new route enables shippers and freight forwarders to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 90 percent.
