Syngenta and Maersk have extended their partnership for five years.

Syngenta Crop Protection, a global leader in agricultural innovation, and Maersk, a global logistics integrator, have extended their 4PL partnership for another five years. This move underlines the companies’ commitment to optimizing supply chains and implementing innovative solutions for more responsible business.

4PL goes beyond standard logistics to include managing resources, technology and infrastructure to create customized solutions. Maersk is actively pursuing this concept as part of its strategy to provide customers with the best services from the factory to the final delivery point.

“Our journey with Syngenta reinforces Maersk’s position as an integrated logistics provider. We thrive on our customers’ success and contribute to it by developing solutions that optimize and simplify their supply chains. We always strive to innovate for our customers and add additional value to their business.”, – Dimitris Armenakis, Global Head of Managed by Maersk Product.

The partnership places a strong emphasis on sustainability, with the companies aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Maersk aims to be net zero by 2040, while Syngenta is stepping up the decarbonisation of its operations. Over the past eight years, the parties have successfully navigated crises such as the Covid pandemic and the Red Sea, while also reducing their carbon footprint. The new agreement reinforces their shared goals of creating greener and more efficient supply chains.
