Transfesa Logistics has changed its name to DB Cargo Iberia following the reorganisation of the Transfesa Group and the sale of part of its business.

A2B-online Container B.V. announced the expansion of its barge service between CCT Moerdijk in the Netherlands and DGT Duisburg in Germany. Starting April 26, the frequency of services will increase from two to three times per week, strengthening intermodal connections between one of the country’s key short-sea hubs and Germany’s industrial region.

Six rail operators – Rail Force One, HSL Netherlands, DB Cargo Nederland, RTB Cargo, LTE Rail Europe, and Rail Cargo Group – signed an agreement coordinated by the Port of Rotterdam Authority aimed at strengthening operational cooperation on the port rail line. The companies collectively control approximately 70% of the market and will operate under a new cooperation model designed to improve the sustainability of transportation.

Katoen Natie, one of the world’s largest private logistics and engineering groups, headquartered in Antwerp, continues to expand its operations in Estonia, where it has operated since 1994. At the Port of Muuga, the company is developing one of the region’s most specialized logistics complexes, located within a free economic zone and boasting over 63,000 m² of warehouse space managed by a multilingual team. Muuga is also becoming one of Northern Europe’s key logistics hubs thanks to its combination of deep water, multimodal infrastructure, and a free customs zone.

French shipping and logistics group CMA CGM is in talks with rail operator SNCF about a possible stake in its freight division, Rail Logistics Europe. The sale involves a minority stake of up to 49%, though the exact size has not yet been determined. In addition to CMA CGM, AP Moller-Maersk and DB Schenker, along with DSV, are also being considered as potential investors, according to Bloomberg.

MRS Logística and Ocean Network Express (ONE) have inaugurated a new intermodal container route linking the Paulínia terminal in São Paulo state to the Port of Santos. The service utilizes the Katoen Natie facility as an inland port, integrating road drayage from the regional industrial cluster with the MRS rail network.

On March 31, 2026, GXO Logistics officially opened a new logistics facility in San Antonino, Canton Ticino (Switzerland). The ceremony was attended by GXO CEO Patrick Kelleher and representatives of the company’s management and local authorities. The new hub, which became part of GXO’s global network, is positioned as a technologically advanced facility focused on the future development of contract logistics.

Ocean Network Express (ONE) announced the launch of a new scheduled service, Iberia Baltic Express (IBX), aimed at enhancing connectivity and reliability of container shipping between Portugal and the Baltic region. The new route expands the company’s geographic coverage and improves the availability of cargo flows between Southern and Northern Europe.

At the WindEurope Offshore Helsinki conference, Euroports presented a concept for developing the port of Koverhar, located near the port of Hanko in Finland, as a next-generation industrial hub for Finland, Sweden, and the entire Baltic region. The project is positioned as a solution to the industry’s key structural deficiency: the lack of integrated port infrastructure capable of simultaneously supporting the production, assembly, and logistics of large-scale offshore projects.

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have agreed to establish a joint venture to acquire a dredging vessel and carry out dredging operations in the ports of both countries. The corresponding agreement was signed between representatives of AZCON Holding and Samruk-Kazyna Invest. During the meeting, the parties also discussed expanding cooperation in transport and logistics.
