The WACO System (WACO) has announced the addition of Rotra Air & Ocean as network members for Belgium and the Netherlands, Rotra Air & Ocean N.V. and Rotra Air & Ocean B.V. respectively.
Rotra, a family-owned business established in 1909, operates offices in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Brussels. The company provides comprehensive services across air, ocean, rail, and barge transport, along with AEO-certified customs brokerage. Notably, Rotra achieved climate-neutral certification in 2022, making it the first freight forwarder in the Netherlands and Belgium to do so by rigorously managing its CO2 footprint and implementing a SMART reduction plan.
With over a century of experience in freight forwarding, Rotra specializes in handling various sectors, including dangerous goods, aerospace, aviation, automotive, pharma, healthcare, consumer goods, and food. This year, WACO is further enhancing its global network and utilizing digital initiatives to support its members.
