Representatives from “ADY Container” LLC, a subsidiary of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, actively participated in the “European Silk Road Summit” held in Budapest, Hungary, from November 29 to December 1, 2023.
During the summit, Rashad Majidov, a representative of “ADY Container” LLC, highlighted Azerbaijan’s crucial role in the Middle Corridor, outlining strategic measures to enhance its functionality and competitiveness. Discussions revolved around the Middle Corridor’s distinct advantages amidst the current geopolitical landscape in the Eurasian region, emphasizing complex logistical solutions. The summit underscored the Middle Corridor’s pivotal role in bolstering trade turnover between Azerbaijan, Central Asia, China, and European nations.
Notably, container transportation along the Middle Corridor in the west-east direction through Azerbaijan witnessed a remarkable surge of over 2 times or 127 percent during the first 11 months of 2023 compared to the same period last year.
