Стратегическое сотрудничество: Кельн-Гремберг способствует транспортировке печного газа в рамках модернизации Кийфхука

The Kijfhoek marshalling yard, the largest in the Netherlands and a key transportation hub connecting the port of Rotterdam to Germany, is set to undergo significant modernization in the near future. This poses a substantial challenge as Kijfhoek plays a crucial role in supplying empty wagons to western ports. Especially during the cold months, DB Cargo Nederland actively utilizes hubs like Kijfhoek to transport liquefied petroleum gas for heating to Germany and Eastern Europe. This is a vital commodity relied upon by many during the cold winter season.

To ease the load on Kijfhoek during its modernization, thanks to excellent collaboration among colleagues in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, an alternative solution has been found in Cologne-Gremberg to handle Dutch transports. The success of this partnership is driven by effective cross-border communication, daily performance analysis, and adaptive responsiveness to demand. This ensures the uninterrupted transportation of urgently needed heating gas to the east via Cologne, underscoring the value of collaboration in solving logistical challenges.
