Европейская комиссия объявила о подписании соглашений о распределении грантов в рамках программы Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) на общую сумму 2,8 млрд евро, выделенных в 2025 году на модернизацию и расширение сети TEN-T. Финансирование будет предоставлено ключевым железнодорожным проектам в Румынии, Украине и Молдове, включая создание линии стандартной колеи между Польшей и Львовом (73,5 млн евро), развитие коридора из портов Констанца и Бухарест в Украину и Молдову (45 млн евро), а также модернизацию и электрификацию линии Яссы-Унгены (33 млн евро).
Poland will receive approximately €452 million for large-scale infrastructure initiatives: construction of the Rail Baltica section (€294 million), development of the Mikołów-Czech border line (€18.4 million), implementation of the ETCS system in seven voivodeships (€94.9 million), and modernization of railways leading to the ports of Świnoujście, Szczecin, and Polici (€44.3 million). Slovakia will attract €135 million to strengthen cross-border connections with Ukraine and the Czech Republic, including the upgrade of the Žilina-Košice route (€96.7 million) and the Košice-Čierna nad Tisou route (€27.3 million).
The European Commission also proposed a significant increase in the CEF budget for the new 2028–2034 period – to more than €51 billion – to accelerate the implementation of projects that strengthen regional connectivity and the strategic integration of Europe’s transport network.
