Польский интермодальный перевозчик Laude Smart Intermodal запустил новое сообщение между Турцией и ЕС через Украину. Первый поезд из 50 специализированных контейнеров Laude отправился из порта Черноморск 5 ноября при участии «Укрзализныци», ознаменовав начало регулярного маршрута из региона Измир (порт Алиага) в Польшу с сокращённым сроком доставки до 10 дней.
The company notes that the launch of the route to and from Turkey is the first stage in implementing broader plans to develop regular routes from the EU through Ukraine to the Caucasus, including Georgia and Azerbaijan. This opens up new logistics opportunities for Ukrainian and Polish businesses.
Marcin Witczak, CEO of Laude Smart Intermodal, emphasized that the new connection is a proven alternative to road transport and overland routes through Bulgaria or Romania. According to him, a train departing from Chornomorsk can carry twice the cargo weight of trains assembled in Turkey or Romania.
