Строительство терминала Т3 в Гданьске, одного из крупнейших гидротехнических проектов в регионе, официально завершено. Работы начались в сентябре 2022 года после получения всех разрешений и осуществлялись компаниями Budimex и DEME под руководством компании Haskoning. В проекте было задействовано более 400 специалистов, а общий объём выполненных работ превысил 3,2 млн человеко-часов. Для создания искусственного острова было использовано 4,37 млн кубометров песка, 160 000 кубометров бетона и 17 500 тонн стали — показатель, сопоставимый с мировыми инжиниринговыми мегапроектами.
The new 36.4-hectare terminal includes 717 meters of deep-water berth and high-tech infrastructure: seven automated STS cranes and 20 remotely operated daily aRMGs. Giant STS cranes, up to 150 meters tall, are capable of handling the largest vessels with a capacity of over 24,000 TEU. All equipment runs on green energy, in line with Baltic Hub’s strategy to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
With the opening of T3, Baltic Hub has become the largest and deepest container terminal in the Baltic Sea, with over 124 hectares of operational area and 2.1 kilometers of berths. This strengthens Gdansk’s role as a key transport gateway for Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. According to the company’s CEO, Jan Van Mossevelde, the new terminal significantly improves the efficiency and sustainability of international supply chains, strengthening intermodal connections between global maritime routes and European rail infrastructure.
