The KTZ Main Computing Center summarized its work for 2025 and outlined digital development priorities.

A meeting was held in Astana with representatives of the regional divisions of the Main Computer Center, a branch of JSC NC KTZ, to summarize the results of 2025 and discuss key future objectives. MCC Director Erkin Yelenov noted that the branch’s main priority remains ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the IT infrastructure, automated systems, and information systems for rail transport. Today, the MCC serves the entire KTZ group of companies, private carriers, and third-party organizations, providing support for more than 30 information systems and automated workstations across all divisions of the national carrier.

In 2025, the MCC implemented a number of large-scale IT projects aimed at improving the quality of services and the reliability of the infrastructure. According to Serik Alatayev, Deputy Director of IT Services, KTZ launched a unified contact center and a call center with the number 1453, created a self-service portal based on the open-source GLPI solution, implemented automated request distribution scripts, and organized systematic user training. Over the past 11 months, 272,928 requests have been processed through the GLPI system, with nearly 22,000 users registered in the database. As part of these investment programs, computer equipment in the central office and regions has been upgraded, data transmission equipment has been modernized, departments have migrated to high-speed communication channels, and uninterruptible power supply systems for server rooms have been purchased. Furthermore, the implementation of the Documentolog electronic document management system has begun, and the Last Mile (SPD-3) project, aimed at reducing operating costs and developing IT staff competencies, is underway.

During the meeting, participants were also briefed on changes to the HR policy and compensation system, answered questions, and viewed videos dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Main Computing Center and its history. The event included an intellectual quiz and creative teamwork, and the most active employees were awarded commemorative prizes. The meeting concluded with an awards ceremony for the six best employees of the Main Computing Center, who were presented with certificates of honor by Anuar Akhmetzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Strategy and Digitalization of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. Participants also enjoyed a tour of the Museum of the History of Railway Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Innovation Hall.
