On February 1, 2026, Rhenus Group completed the acquisition of all remaining shares in Grupo Totalmédia, becoming the sole owner of the company. The deal marked the final stage of the transformation, which began with the acquisition of a stake in early 2023 and culminated in the rebranding to Rhenus Logistics on February 1, 2025.
Founded in 1998, Totalmédia established itself in Portugal and Spain as a specialist in home delivery of large items. Integration into the Rhenus structure strengthened the Home Delivery service’s position in the Portuguese market and became part of the group’s strategy to expand its European delivery network, which now covers 14 countries and handles approximately 7 million shipments annually.
Complete business consolidation allowed the Home Delivery and Road Logistics businesses to be combined under the new Rhenus Overland Portugal structure. It comprises 16 platforms in Portugal, over 400 employees, over 1,000 partners, and warehouse capacity of over 24,000 square meters. The division processes over 3.5 million shipments annually, offering customers comprehensive solutions from the first to the last mile and strengthening Rhenus’ long-term presence in the Portuguese market.
