DHL Group and JD.com signed a memorandum to support German brands in China and Europe.

DHL Group and JD.com signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at supporting German brands’ entry into the Chinese market and strengthening their position in Europe through the new Joybuy retail platform. The signing took place at JD.com’s headquarters in Beijing. The partnership envisages the development of joint logistics and e-commerce initiatives, integrating DHL’s global infrastructure and JD.com’s digital ecosystem.

As part of the agreement, DHL will represent German companies on the JD.com platform, including JINGDONG Cross-border, allowing brands to sell directly to over 700 million Chinese consumers without establishing a legal entity or physical presence in China. DHL and JINGDONG Logistics will develop comprehensive door-to-door solutions using preferential customs duties and VAT for direct B2C shipments, significantly reducing costs compared to traditional imports. JD.com will also provide brands with access to analytics, marketing, inventory management, and operational support tools.

At the same time, JD.com will promote German products on the European market through the Joybuy platform, expanding its online sales channels and retail infrastructure. DHL emphasizes that the alliance strengthens its position as a leading logistics partner for European brands, while JD.com notes that the collaboration combines logistics capabilities, digital infrastructure, and market access, creating a sustainable model for international growth for German manufacturers.
