Cargolux ended 2025 with a profit amidst a volatile market.

For the 2025 financial year, Cargolux reported positive results despite a challenging and volatile market environment. The company generated revenue of US$3.406 billion and a net profit of US$465 million. These figures strengthened the Group’s balance sheet and enhanced its resilience amidst growing global uncertainty.

In 2025, the air cargo industry faced pressure from geopolitical conflicts, trade restrictions, and airspace closures resulting from the situations in the Middle East and Ukraine. Nevertheless, the e-commerce segment and niche markets continued to provide support for demand. Cargolux adapted its operations through flexible network management and an expansion of charter services, enabling it to maintain stable operational efficiency and conclude the year with a positive financial outcome. By the end of the period, the airline ranked 10th among the world’s top 20 cargo carriers, according to IATA.

The outlook for 2026 remains challenging due to high geopolitical instability, the risk of new tariff restrictions, and shifts in trade routes. Additional pressure stems from record-high aviation fuel prices and potential supply disruptions amid escalating conflicts. Uncertainty also persists within the e-commerce segment – a key driver of demand – which could be adversely affected by new regulatory and customs measures. Under these conditions, Cargolux plans to continue adapting to market changes while maintaining flexibility and a high level of service.
