Emirates SkyCargo is launching weekly cargo flights to Almaty – its first route from Dubai to Central Asia.

Emirates SkyCargo has announced the launch of scheduled freighter flights to Almaty International Airport using Boeing 777F aircraft, starting June 16, 2026. Operating weekly on Tuesdays, the service marks the carrier’s first dedicated freighter route from Dubai to Central Asia. The new route aims to strengthen the region’s integration into the airline’s global logistics network and expand trade ties between markets.

Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest city, is increasingly solidifying its position as a key regional trade and logistics hub. The new service will facilitate a cargo flow of over 100 tonnes per week, accelerating the delivery of electronics, perishables, industrial equipment, and consumer goods to destinations worldwide via the Dubai transit hub. In doing so, the route creates an additional channel for international trade and reinforces Kazakhstan’s role in supply chains connecting Europe and Asia.

Emirates SkyCargo notes that the launch aligns with its strategy to expand its presence in high-growth regions and supports Dubai’s long-term trade development goals. The company emphasizes its ongoing fleet expansion: four new Boeing 777F aircraft have been received since March 2026, with six more scheduled to enter service by the end of the year, bringing the total fleet to 21 aircraft. Additionally, the airline utilizes cargo capacity on passenger flights, further expanding its global transport network and enhancing the accessibility of logistics routes across six continents.
