Latvian engineering companies SIA “Belss” and SIA “Anytec Productions,” specializing in the production of premium aluminum vessels in Bolderaja (Port of Riga), have developed the country’s first multifunctional port infrastructure servicing boat. The vessel has already entered service at the Port of Salacgriva, marking a significant step in the development of Latvian shipbuilding and confirming that Riga can build modern, technologically sophisticated vessels that are competitive in the global market.
The aluminum boat, 9.5 meters long and 2.96 meters wide, can carry up to six people and one ton of cargo. It is equipped with a hydraulic manipulator and the latest Simrad navigation system, including an echo sounder, engine management system, firefighting equipment, and a depth measuring device with water mapping software. Thanks to its reinforced structure and special M400 coating from SIA “Anytec Productions,” the vessel is resistant to adverse weather conditions and can operate safely even in ice.
According to Kaspars Ziediņš, a member of the board of SIA “Belss,” this project demonstrates the high potential of Latvian companies to create products with high added value. Edmunds Krastiņš, director of the SIA “Anytec Productions” plant, added that boats of this type can be adapted to the needs of port, border, and military services. The company produces approximately 250 aluminum vessels annually, which are supplied not only to Scandinavian countries but also to Panama, Thailand, and other countries.
