Kombiverkehr has launched a pilot intermodal transport with Transcoop09 and Focko Lüpsen & Sohn – Logistics Solutions. The test shipment is moving by rail for the first time between Dörpen and Ludwigshafen.
Loading is taking place at the DUK Dörpen terminal using a WECON swap body. The unit is scheduled to arrive at KTL Kombi-Terminal Ludwigshafen, followed by final delivery by road to Oggersheim.
Kombiverkehr operates intermodal services linking German and European terminals, working with forwarding companies and rail operators to shift semi-trailers, swap bodies and containers onto rail.
