Kuehne+Nagel is launching a cost reduction program of 200 million francs per year.

Kuehne+Nagel announced the launch of a new cost reduction program of over CHF 200 million per year. These measures are aimed at improving the company’s operational efficiency amid excess capacity and margin pressure. These savings will be achieved through process optimization, automation, and expanded use of shared service centers.

Despite the challenging market environment, Kuehne+Nagel increased revenue by 3% to CHF 18.5 billion for the period from January to September 2025. EBIT amounted to CHF 1 billion, and net profit to CHF 761 million. Free cash flow increased by 67%, reaching CHF 521 million.

The company also strengthened its position in the air freight market, particularly in the perishable goods and logistics segment, and achieved growth in its ocean freight business among small and medium-sized customers. However, currency fluctuations put pressure on third-quarter operating profit, reducing it by CHF 14 million.
