MBOX Terminals DOO and Kombiverkehr KG forge partnership for Serbia-Austria rail connection.

MBOX Terminals DOO, a Serbian terminal operator, and Kombiverkehr KG, based in Frankfurt, have initiated a collaboration to enhance the link between Niš in Serbia and Wels in Austria. Susana Jozinovic, Sales Representative Southeastern at Kombiverkehr KG, highlights the strategic significance of integrating the Niš terminal into their European network, positioning themselves for further expansion across southeastern Europe. Leveraging Niš’s central location and its proximity to pan-European transport corridor 10, the partnership aims to offer enhanced intermodal transport solutions to their customers.

The collaboration introduces train departures from Wels on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and from Niš on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays. Direct trains from the Wels hub terminal to Duisburg Ruhrort Hafen, Munich-Riem, and Ludwigshafen, managed by Kombiverkehr KG, facilitate seamless connectivity to various national and international destinations. Freight forwarders can easily book shipments via the Kombiverkehr KG customer portal or the KV4.0 data hub, with options available for transporting most dangerous goods and customs clearance services provided by MBOX Terminals, along with road-side pre- and on-carriage services within Serbia and across borders.
