Swiss Medlog SA, the logistics division of global container operator MSC, has acquired 50% of Ukrainian intermodal logistics operator N’UNIT and 25% of the Mostyska transit terminal, co-owned by Ukrainian company Lemtrans.
The deal negotiations lasted about a year and became the first such investment by a transnational logistics player in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. Medlog’s entry into Ukrainian logistics underlines the growing interest in developing transport routes and infrastructure on the border with the EU.
The deal is estimated at $15-30 million. The emergence of Medlog can significantly strengthen Ukraine’s position in the field of intermodal transportation and simplify integration into European logistics chains.
