New stage of cooperation: Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan launch an international cooperation center “Central Asia”

On November 9th, a signing ceremony took place in Tashkent between Arman Shakaliyev, the Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, and Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, regarding the regulation of the activities of the International Industrial Cooperation Center “Central Asia.” Situated near the border crossings of Atameken (Kazakhstan) and Gulistan (Uzbekistan), the center will encompass production facilities, warehouses, and transportation infrastructure, aiming to expedite cargo delivery and reduce logistical costs.

The primary objective behind establishing the Industrial Cooperation Center is to stimulate new productions, create job opportunities, process agricultural and industrial products, and provide logistical services for seamless transportation of goods. This significant step will facilitate the concrete implementation of the project, with the center’s launch serving as a key catalyst for the development of international trade and the integration of the economic systems of both countries, fostering an increase in bilateral trade turnover to USD 10 billion.
