Starting from January 2024, a new truck parking area, P2, will be opening in the Sermin region, situated close to Truck Gate 2 – Sermin. Concurrently, the existing parking zone will cease operations, and all services will be relocated to the new P2 (Sermin) location. Additionally, a new truck parking area, P3, adjacent to Truck Gate 3 – Bertoki, will also be inaugurated.
The newly established P2 in Sermin, located at Železniška cesta 15, Ankaran, with GPS coordinates N 45.558, E 13.759, is set to commence operations on January 4, 2024. P2 services include 24/7 accessibility, illuminated surroundings, surveillance cameras, staff assistance, and amenities such as P2-DocsBox for document exchange, self-service VBS terminal, and PrintBox self-service terminal. Other facilities encompass 15 offices for freight forwarders, parking spaces for office tenants and P2-DocsBox renters, a rest area with vending machines, and outdoor fitness equipment. Parking fees are based on the time of stay according to the Price List, with payment options including credit cards, pre-paid systems, and cash.
Furthermore, the new truck parking area – P3, near Truck Gate 3 – Bertoki, with GPS coordinates N 45.555, E 13.753, is scheduled to open on January 3, 2024. P3 offers 24/7 access, P3-DocsBox for document exchange, WC and showers (accepting only 2 EUR coins), and a rest area with vending machines. Similar to P2, P3 operates on a time-of-stay basis with payment exclusively by bank card (VISA, Mastercard).
Important details include unchanged opening hours for the Sermin and Bertoki truck gates, the absence of free parking areas or walking spaces at P2 and P3, and a request for truck drivers to adhere to VBS guidance regarding recommended entrances. Additionally, both P2-DocsBox and P3-DocsBox have designated sections for issuing and receiving documents, each requiring a DocsBox number and corresponding PIN.
