Управление морских портов Щецин и Свиноуйсьце (SA) заключило предварительное соглашение с консорциумом, в состав которого входят компании DEME CONCESSIONS NV (Бельгия) и QTERMINALS WLL (Государство Катар). Соглашение предусматривает 30-летнюю аренду земельного участка в аванпорту Свиноуйсьце для финансирования, строительства и эксплуатации глубоководного контейнерного терминала. Эта инициатива соответствует «Программе развития морских портов до 2023 года», направленной на укрепление позиций польских портов на Балтийском море и создание ключевых узлов в глобальной цепочке поставок для Центральной и Восточной Европы.
The construction of the deep-water container terminal addresses the growing demand for container handling, supported by market analyses and independent research indicating its necessity in the south-western part of the Baltic Sea. The terminal, designed to meet the highest safety and environmental standards, is anticipated to create new long-term jobs and employment opportunities in the region. With a capacity of handling up to 2 million TEU annually, the terminal will be implemented in two stages, with the first stage capable of handling 1 million TEU per year. The investor, selected through a competitive tender procedure, will finance the terminal built on the pier in the Pomeranian Bay, equipped with low-emission technology to meet ecological ‘green terminal’ standards. The terminal, slated to commence operations in early 2028, will serve as dual-use infrastructure, accommodating both civilian and military cargo handling. The project is complemented by the establishment of a multiannual program ensuring secure access infrastructure for terminals in Świnoujście, aligning with the Council of Ministers’ resolution adopted in May 2023.
