The EEC discussed new stages of transport integration among EAEU countries.

At the 31st meeting of the Consultative Committee on Transport and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), participants examined key areas for the further development of transport integration within the Eurasian Economic Union. The meeting was chaired by EEC Minister for Energy and Infrastructure Arzybek Kozhoshev and attended by deputy heads of relevant transport agencies from EAEU member states.

Discussions focused on the digitalization of the transport sector – including the implementation of electronic document management systems – as well as the development of high-speed railway lines and expanded cooperation with international organizations. These areas are viewed as crucial elements for enhancing transport efficiency and strengthening the Union’s transit potential.

Committee members were also briefed on the progress of drafting a new roadmap for implementing a coordinated transport policy among EAEU states for the 2027–2029 period. Furthermore, participants reviewed the implementation of the action plan associated with the Declaration on the Further Development of Economic Processes up to 2030 and the long-term “Eurasian Economic Path” strategy up to 2045, both of which aim to establish a unified transport space and develop international logistics routes.
