The President of Kazakhstan met with the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KTZ Talgat Aldybergenov to discuss the company’s performance in the first half of 2025. According to Aldybergenov, operational freight turnover increased by 8.6%, and transit traffic reached 14.6 million tons, indicating the growing importance of KTZ in the country’s transport sector.
The focus is on the large-scale construction of new railway lines and the modernization of existing tracks to create the Trans-Kazakhstan Corridor. This year, the construction of second tracks on the Dostyk-Moiynty route and the Almaty bypass is being completed, the Darbaza-Maktaaral project is ongoing, and work has begun on the Bakhty-Ayagoz and Kyzylzhar-Moiynty lines. The company is actively expanding its terminal network.
The issues of digitalization and security were discussed separately: thanks to cooperation with international innovative companies, the time for processing declarations for transit multimodal transportation was reduced from 8 hours to 30 minutes. The President noted the key role of KTZ in the development of transport infrastructure and economic growth of Kazakhstan.
